CNG movable vessels are most effective when transporting large quantity of natural gas to areas where there is no infrastructure of natural gas supply or it is difficult to establish one, and it is indispensable in areas where construction of fixed type charging station of natural gas is difficult. The vessels can be stored under high pressure of 200 bar, and after the vessels are combined into one module by multiple of ultra large vessels, and large quantity of gas can be stored and transported. Movable natural gas charging vehicles vividly demonstrated its role in the early stage when there are not many charging stations which are the infrastructures to supply natural gas for the natural gas vehicles in Korea.

In particular, they are in very efficient use to take the place of long distance transporting pipes in widely expanded countries like Middle East, China, India, and Russia, etc, and the demand for them is gradually increasing. With ultra large vessels applied for specification, the method of combining and modularizing the vessels for optimum usage are in constant development with new models, and as for complied standards, DOT-3AAX-E8009 which is a US federal standard is applied. As the demand for natural gas is constantly increasing in each country of the world for alternative energy, the role of NK for movable natural gas charging vehicle will be further expanded.
